Amanda joined the Center for Cyber Education in 2021 as a Project Manager, supporting the development and implementation of Mississippi's K–12 computer science initiative (CS4MS). Before transitioning to this role, she spent 12 years teaching middle and high school mathematics in the Columbus, Madison, and Tupelo school districts and served two years as an elementary school counselor.

Amanda holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with concentrations in mathematics and history, a master's degree in School Counseling, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration, all from Mississippi State University. Her background in K–12 education and educational leadership provides a strong foundation for leading statewide computer science initiatives, developing professional learning opportunities, and supporting educators as they integrate computer science into classrooms across Mississippi.
