Through our comprehensive curriculum guidance, professional development programs, specialized training opportunities, and community outreach initiatives, we strive to empower individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of the digital world. As we continue to expand our efforts, we remain committed to shaping the future of computing and cyber education to ensure our workforce is well-equipped with in-demand skills and prepared to contribute to a safer, more secure digital landscape for all.

CCE Team

The Center for Cyber Education team collectively brings deep expertise in computer science education, cybersecurity workforce development, and K–12 instructional support. As a group, they lead statewide initiatives in computer science, guide the implementation of large-scale education programs, and provide training in areas such as coding, robotics, AI, and cybersecurity. Their combined backgrounds span classroom teaching, curriculum development, counseling, technology management, and educational leadership. Together, they design engaging learning experiences, support teacher professional development, manage online and mobile learning programs, and help strengthen cyber awareness and workforce readiness across Mississippi.

Funding

The Center for Cyber Education (CCE) is sustained through a combination of grant funding and state appropriations.

The CCE is honored to receive funding from the Mississippi Legislature to support the development and growth of K–12 computer science education across the state. This investment helps ensure that teachers can access the training, instructional resources, and classroom support they need to prepare students for a technology-driven workforce at no cost. Over the years, CCE has secured additional funding from a wide range of partners, including state‑appropriated funds and grants from C Spire and the C Spire Foundation, the National Science Foundation’s CS for All initiative and iTest program, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Department of Energy, the National Security Agency’s GenCyber Program, and U.S. Department of Defense VICEROY program. This diverse funding portfolio enables the Center to expand K–12 computer science and cybersecurity education across Mississippi and sustain long-term program impact.
